Thanksgiving week typically brings our best fall color to north Texas. I managed to make it out to a few of the local parks and our Japanese Garden. This year is not one of the better ones color wise but here are a few of the scenes I saw.

One of the better maples this week. Nothing near as good as they can be but I think the heat and dry conditions of summer really took a toll this summer.

I am about the furthest thing from a wildlife photographer, however, when I saw this heron in a maple, I had to try.

Hey Darren, You may not consider yourself a wildlife photographer, but this is a really good shot of the heron. I normally see shots of them along ponds, streams or swamps. This environment shows the bird to great advantage with good detail in the feathers.

Nice series Darren. The GBH in the tree is really unusual. I like it!

These are all great, Darren...what a beautiful location to photograph. The last one is really unique. Thanks for sharing - let's see some more!
