One of the few pics taken of late. Sun gets that low it's just too dark even though the leaves are off. Soon be December 21 st!!

Hi John, cracking shot of a nuthatch in an unusual setting. Sharp as usual. My only minor nits are the dark coloured plant stump? at the far right edge of the picture and the red leaves at the top of the picture are a little distracting and could be cooled a little to match the ones in the foreground. That sigma lens is certainly on the money!

Really nice Nuthatch John. I agree with Nick about the far right stump, but its so minor it hardly competes with the subject IMHO and its a really minor nit. Superb as usual.

Hi both. The older I get the less interest I have in cloneing ! Hands shake too much - and more seriously, where do you stop ?
I never really noticed the bits until you mentioned them
Thanks for your interest.

Hi John,
Great shot. I hadn't noticed the stump either, and can't say its presence bothers me.

John
A cracking nuthatch in it's environment what more do you need?

I like the colour combinations here, the late autumn does provide some good colours whatever we may think about the lack of light. I had to look really hard to find the tree stump, so it isn't that intrusive.

a lovely sharp nuthatch image John, full of autumn colours. The stump doesn't bother me.
Another cracker Robinson. As you have all the pool images sown up I've set myself a task. I have constructed a miniature bathroom shower set outside and I am determined to get a bird singing under it !!!! So far they have point blankedly (?) refused to put on the shower cap and what some of them have done with the loofah . . . . . well !

Wouldn't change a thing. Relieved to hear it isn't just me suffering from a lack of birds.
