 A few from Bosque
It is really a wonderful experience to spend a day and a half in between thousands of sandhill cranes, snow geese and other wonderful birds. I was a little worried whether I would be able to get a few close ups of birds with my 300mm + 1.4X but some of the sandhills were really close .. your C&C highly appreciated as always.

#1 Sandhill cranes just after sunset - please view larger.

I like 4 and 5 Soubhik. The first couple look a little soft to me.

Hi Soubhik, when were you in Bosque? I just got back last night after getting there the day after Thanksgiving. I agree with Jack about the first two looking a bit soft. I am not a huge silhouette fan in the first place, but the comp on two is really nice, just wish it was a bit sharper. Also, did you change the sky color much? Unfortunately, I didn't have any nice sunsets, every single night was no clouds which of course makes for less color.

Hi Kurt, I didn't know that you would be in Bosque .. I was there Friday whole day and Saturday morning. The sky as you mentioned was without clouds and Friday morning was overcast too .. the silhouettes were taken Friday afternoon and I didn't change the color much ( reduced the shadows and highlights a little). Were you in one of the ponds before entering the park to the right ? That's where I was Friday morning.

Wow, real nice set, Soubhik! I love #2, the softness is not a big deal. A bit too much negative space for me in 5, and too tight in 4 (too bad you cant swap backgrounds...) but everything else looks great! :toast:

Cool set of images Soubhik. I'm a sucker for silhouettes so #2, closely followed by #s 1 and 5, are my favorites. Not sure the pano aspect ratio is needed on the first shot, I would maybe crop a bit of each side including the duck, the interaction of the cranes is definitely the center of interest here. #2 is a bit more complicated: the negative space on the top is simple and I think adds to the composition, however a closeup of the cranes would also probably work too.

Really like #2 with the vertical composition.

Nice set! I like 2 & 5 the best. Unlike Stan, I like the negative space in #5.
