Art Wolfe is taking on Vegas with the opening of the Natural Wonders Gallery in the Palazzo / Venetian casino. I am more than honored and jazzed to have been selected to join him in the new 5,000 sqft gallery. This is a lifetime achievement to be in the city where other giants like Peter Lik and Rodney Lough also have their signature galleries.

When passing through or visiting Vegas I guarantee it will be an inspiring must see. There will be almost 100 images on display!

What's your issue? I see announcements of other members new venues all the time. Every photographer I know can't wait to get to see the gallery in one of the most exclusively high end hotels in the world. This is a huge happening , especially for me!

Congratulations, Robert! That is quite an accomplishment!

Well in the first place I am not about to upstage Art's name so a dose of humility was in order on my part. The fact of the matter is that this is a huge happening for me and to stand next to giants is a lifetime achievement!

I say Congrats! I would be proud to have a gallery in a dive like Circus Circus in Vegas. The Palazzo is quite an accomplishment. I look forward to seeing your images next time I am out there!

I am spending most of my time in the darkroom at our lab in Vegas so drop a line if anyone wants to meet up.

Thank you all!

It is my belief that photography will soon become the widely accepted fine art form that we all aspire to, and hopefully galleries like this will be a testament to the validity of the medium.

Congrats on this achievement. I would be stoked! Out of curiosity Robert, you say you were selected to join Art. Were you chosen by Art at random, or was there some sort of process where Art was looking for other artists and you were selected out of many possible candidates?
BTW, went to view the online the gallery...beautiful collection of work.

Robert: I apologize for feeling that your post was a bit spammy. Using Art's name in the subject line and then slipping in that your work will also be on display felt a little misleading to me. That combined with the fact that this is your second post made the whole effort a bit suspect. It seems maybe I'm the only one who got that vibe. Like I said, maybe I was a bit snarky at 0400. Post removed as requested.

Congrats on the gallery. It's a huge accomplishment and I'll certainly stop in to check it out on my next visit to Vegas, which should be within the next couple of months.

Bret,

No problem as I look back and can see your perspective. I have been working on this with Art for almost a yr and a half @80hrs a week and just have not had as much time to post as I would have liked to. Getting into Palazzo and keeping up to their standards is an incredibly daunting task laced with figuring out Vegas politics.

Nevertheless I am incredibly stoked to finally see it coming together.

You should be stoked, Robert! Your work is gorgeous and not many photographers could display alongside Art without looking completely inferior. Yours is at least as good as Art's. Thanks for accepting my apologies. I'm not usually so grumpy - I promise!

Great accomplishment. Remember to keep your profits in your pocket and not those weird machines they have around there.

Congratulations Robert! I'll have to stop by and pay a visit. I always love learning from others who are doing something new. Good luck! :toast:

We have a saying here..........Remember that those casino's were not built on winners.
