OT - My display is up and running! UPDATE
UPDATE - I just got a call from the place where my display is and since Christmas FIVE prints have sold! I thought it would be really slow through January. That makes 9 sold so far...guess I'd better get on the phone to Duraplaq :-)

Wanted to let you know that we hung my print display today at Cedar Street Printing in Trinidad. Being the fabulous photographer that I am, I forgot to bring my camera to take a pic of it  We finished hanging at noon and when we got home I checked my phone for messages ( I'm bad about carrying my phone too!) There was a voicemail from the lady at the shop saying that right after we left, a lady came in, walked right up to the display, AND BOUGHT A PRINT!!! I guess it was the fastest sale they ever had after a display being hung! So, I just got off the phone with Tim at Duraplaq and ordered a replacement for it since I now have a hole in my display...a good problem to have!
So, if you are in the area stop by and have a look see. The address is 123 W. Cedar St. Trinidad, Co 81082, hours M-F 8a-5p. The display runs 'til the end of Feb 2012. Here's the plaque that sold. It's the church ruin you can see from I-25 going south towards Raton Pass.

Outstanding photo, Pam. Congratulations on the display! I'm not sure I'll make it to Trinidad while your photos are on display but if I do, you can bet I'll stop in to check it out.

Pam, best to your display and more future sales. I like the lighting and perspective in this image.

I wouldn't second-guess a sale -- take the money and run! But you might want to consider cropping a bit for future prints. There seems to be a lot of black in this image, but it may just be that in the jpeg I can't see the stars, and in a bigger print I could. In any case, congratulations on your show and making the sale!

Thanks so much everyone, it's pretty exciting for sure. Glenn, pinpoint stars are visible in the actual print.

Congratulations! Great image is this ruin located in the Raton pass?
Posted by Pam Colander on December 2, 2011 at 7:02 PM
It's between the pass and Trinidad on the west side of I-25 going south George.
