Black Throated Divers
1D Mk iv, 600mm f4 x1.4, 1/1600s, f7.1, iso 400

Forced to tidy my hard drive which is full  Forgot about these beauties from the summer. No perches or reflection to worry about

Stunning looking birds Ian. The larger image is much better as the birds then appear more prominent. When I first viewed the small image I thought there was too much background but that thought dissappeared when viewing it bigger. I really like it.

Hello Ian.

Beautiful birds they are and you've got three of them. Agree you need to see the bigger image to see it at its best.

I like this as is but think a pano version would work as well.

It is strange how different compositions work at different sizes. I think the smaller one would be best cropped letterbox style, but I agree with the others that the large versiob is great as it is.

I like it Ian. Three birds and the outer two looking into the picture. Great stuff

The big version is super! Agree a pano would look good as well. Lovely image :toast: :toast:

Great image Ian, fine as is. Lucky to get three in the same shot, one usually ends up diving! One of my favourite birds and am lucky to be able to see them in breeding plumage here.

nice to see three together Ian and they look great against the blue water. I also think a pano could work well.
