We are very fortunate to have a small pond in the Terrace Heights cemetary that has a large number of waterfowl on it for most of the winter. People tend to bring bread to feed them. They are not captive; but rarely fly when someone takes their photo. Today there were mallards, widgeon, wood ducks and geese (there are also two resident swans). Obviously not the same as the Ridgefield area, but a good opportunity for interesting images of waterfowl.

Good shot. The water ripples are pretty fantastic, too. Any thought about how centered the subject is? Perhaps a crop to recompose..., but it's a "compositional" rule that can certainly be broken. I'm a little ambivalent about it here.

Beautiful capture Jim. I think a closer crop would be a good thing!

I love Wood Ducks, and agree that the ripples are a cool effect. I too would like to see it a tad tighter.
