I'd like to read others' experiences using Photoshop CS5 vs. OnOne's Perfect ReSize software for making larger enlargements. I've got CS5 and wonder if there's anything to be gained by acquiring Perfect ReSize or any other 3rd party enlarging software.

I took Nat's advice a while ago and I do all my enlargements using Lightroom's export feature. I've done some non-scientific comparisons with CS5, Lightroom and Genuine Fractals and in every case, the Lightroom enlargement looked best. I know it isn't exactly what you're asking but thought I'd share my experience.

I've been using perfect resize on my last few prints and I think it's fantastic!

Just got the OnOne suite and will be testing Resize. You could download the trial also I think. I'll test it against the PS method of enlargement to 200% with Bicubic Smoother, tweak sharpness, then reduce to the size you desire if applicable.

Thanks, everyone, for your replies. Paul D., I'd love to hear the results of your comparison. I'll see if I can download a trial and do my own as well.

Quck note on what Bret said in his post....Perfect Resize is a VAST improvement from Genuine Fractals which I used to have and stopped using.
