Do you use any of the links at the top of the page? Members? Events? Hot Spots? Links? Classifieds & Services?

The members page is a remnant of the old days before a subscription was required, so it should probably be removed.

I think the Hot Spots page is still very relevant (maybe change the page name to "Locations"?), but many of the other pages contain very out-dated info. Are they worth keeping (and keeping up to date)?

Thoughts??

Thank you!

I may have looked at them twice at the most in last three years.

I think the Classifieds and Hot Spots pages are still relevant, but the rest could go. I just used the Hot Spots page a couple months ago, actually. Lots of good information there and it would be great to add some fresh content.

I tend to agree with Bret, maybe I could add some of my 'top secret' northern Utah locales.

I feel the Events page (UPDATED) does have a role. For prospective members it demonstrates the type of activities that the group has to offer.

I think we should keep classifieds to avoid clutter in the topics area. Hot spots is good, members and links can go. Don't think we need all the past stuff in the events page.

The hot spots seem too good to get rid of. I have sometimes looked through the list of members, just to check out folks' web sites, see who has a calendar published, that kind of thing. But it would require a feasible way to keep current, and maybe there are better approaches.

FYI - being able to send a link to the past exhibits in the Capitol Rotunda was key for us getting selected for the College Hill shows. Of course, since group shows appear to no longer be of interest, then I agree the past events page has become irrelevant.

I agree with others too numerous to mention. Members and Hot Spots (Both updated) would be nice to keep. Events (past) seems a bit irrelevant to me but someone said it might show potential members what we like to do so that has some merit I guess. Links, I'm ambivolent. Classifieds I usually access through the select forum box.

On a somewhat related but not very much note, regarding the RMNP Store...is there any way to score a couple RMNP bumper stickers?
Posted by Jack Garrett on December 6, 2011 at 4:17 PM
Bill B., I will forward your bumper sticker request to Jim. I've been talking to him about NPN hats, cards, etc. so I will see What is available...don't know if the former RMNP store keeper would have any of that stuff.

The previous RMNP store was "on demand" via Cafe Press. It must have expired due to lack of activity.

The quality of their stickers was really poor - faded to unreadable in the sun in just a few weeks. Several of us were talking about that at C.B & Pott's. A new sticker initiative is definitely needed! Anne has some leads.

Jack and Scott, thanks for the update. I never got around to ordering one and when I finally tried I couldn't figure it out. One suggestion....I'd love a sticker with RMNP on it but would like to eliminate the information regarding what that stands for. I hate advertising that I'm a photographer and there's probably a lot of real expensive toys locked in my vehicle. Just saying...

The old CNP oval stickers were perfect. Easily seen but not advertizing "loaded with camera gear".
How about a similar design with RMNP.
I agree with Scott about the current stickers - useless.

Yep, we're all on the same page about not having a "Break Into This Car" type of sticker.

Anne suggested a simple RMNP oval sticker. Black letters but with a colored background to distinguish it from the National Park stickers. Some easy to identify color - Orange? Spring Green? Hot Pink? (for Todd)

I have a confession...I just rediscovered the links at the top of the page. I know I saw them when I first signed up for NPN, but haven't used them since. Now that I have actually looked into them a little, I think the do have a place on the page, but I wished they looked more like buttons than a weird byline.
I think it would be useful on the event page to have a link to email a moderator so others can submit an event idea easily from the page.
Regarding the sticker idea, I'm with you, Bill! I was thinking of a round static sticker (the kind that goes inside the window without adhesive) that simply said RMNP. Since it'd be a static sticker, you could put it in any window as necessary (since some are too tinted). As Scott mentioned, we'd pick a color and font so we'd know it was us. I meant to call the guy who does the ones for my work, but I wasn't in the office today.

Not sure what everyone else has in mind but I'm picturing more of an oval sticker than round. White or light grey background, black line around the outline of the sticker with dark green RMNP inside the black line. (I frequently have "visions" or epiphanies or hallucinations on my daily 2 hours of commuting time)
