Posting problems - sorted

Has anyone been having problems uploading images here? For the last two evenings I have tried to post pictures but each time when the Post Topic is hit there is a big delay and then I'm returned to the Forum header.

Having just posted this succesfully without pictures I have to assume it is something to do with the images. They are all processed via Lightroom and exported using a preset which has always worked with previous images.

Any ideas?

I had this problem the other day Robert and I think it was caused by my 1200px image being larger than 500kb. As soon as I reduced it I was able to post without any problem. Presumably the same might happen if the smaller image is greater than 300kb.

If your images were within these size limits then I've no idea what problem could be.

Cheers Matt. they were indeed oversized but I can't think why as the presets I set up in Lightroom did have file size restrictions set. Anyway, I have re-exported and will try again.

I had a similar problem, my web linked image was too large on the longest side (800px), when I tried to post I got a page full of HTML.

I had the same problem and it was down to size for some reason.

If hosted on NPN, then most problems with image upload/not showing are due to incorrect pixel size, or file size. If hosted elsewhere, then watch the pixel size - file size shouldn't be an issue for those.

Any other problems, then give me a shout.

Seemed a bit odd that after posting and re sizing for several years with no problem it should suddenly go wierd this week.
