Another ID please
I think this may be a field sparrow but I would like either a correction or a confirmation. This picture was taken in Dallas, Texas on 12/9/2011.

I don't get to see a lot of Field Sparrows, but this time of years I'd expect the flanks and upper chest to be a lot more rufous/tawny. I agree the strong white eye ring is suggestive. Possibly a hatch year White-crowned Sparrow?

not a species I have much experience with either but it looks like a Field Sparrow to me. the eye ring, bill color, and rufous tones in the lesser and median coverts all seem good for a grayish Field. overall it has a Spizella feel to it too.
