Eclipse over Mt. Audubon
Lots of people out this morning enjoying the event.

Shot from Flagstaff Mtn Rd, Lost Gulch Overlook, Boulder.
It was worth the scouting trip yesterday.

I was amazed at how fast the moon faded with the sunrise!

Wow, very cool. A million times better than my attempts. It must help to have big glass too.

Whoa, nice shot, Bill. I was sorta kicking myself for not getting out this morning, but I realized that I was way to FL limited to actually get the shot that I wanted. So I am happy to just bask in glow of great images like this.

Fantastic, Bill! Yeah, it did disappear into the dawn glow like the Cheshire cat's smile, didn't it? I picked a location with pretty opens views to the west, but ended up wishing a bit for higher terrain that way so as to catch the moon a little earlier, like you did here. This is awesome!

Thanks for the feedback, everyone.

Do any of you astronomers know which star/planet that is to the lower left of the moon ?

I've got to put a plug in for The Photographer's Ephemeris.
It was an enormous help in deciding where I wanted to set up for this eclipse.

Your research paid off big time on this shot Bill. One of the best photos I've seen, even on a nationwide scale, from the event. Beautiful, well-executed work here!
