Lanterman's Mill, Youngstown
I just posted this in M&N, but I thought I'd post it here as well due to its regional subject matter. Being located in my hometown, I've probably shot this mill 100 times, but I particularly like this image due to the nice light. Image taken late this fall. D700, 17-35 @25, iso 200, f16, 1/5 sec, polarizer.

Nice image. Like the fog in the trees. I would crop out the stairs on the left. Next time you may want try to shoot the left side of the frame just to the right of the stairs and include alittle more of the water on the right side to lead you out of the picture.

I like every view of the mill that I have ever seen. I'm sure that the light in this shot sets it apart for you. Not cropping off the steps is fine with me it may not be the best comp for the shot but gives me an idea of the setting. If you have been there that often you have looked at and shot a lot of views. If I evver get out that way will have to stop and see it. Makes you appreciate the effort that went into building and preserving the mill.

Scott, This is wonderful!, and yes, the light and feel is really nice. As Kendall mentioned I'm sure you have shot this every way you can think of. I do enjoy seeing this wider view to get an idea of the setting, and I also appreciate George's thoughts. Hope I can make it to this place one day myself. This is a beautiful mill very well captured in this image.

Beautiful capture. I like the way the mill captures your eye then the steps, path and river all lead you to the back of the photo to what appears to be a covered bridge over the river.
