The bad thing about this (in addition to the disturbance caused to the birds) is that we all get tarred with the same brush. I have never heard of either of these guys, and cannot find any of their images on the internet. Published information on the court case is a bit sparse. However, I get the impression of two guys who got hold of cameras, and thought photographing eagles at nest would be easy, despite the warnings they got from the RSPB and others. We see the same sort of behaviour at Donna Nook, and elsewhere. These people are not wildlife photographers, any more than joy-riders are expert drivers.

'Guilty of disturbance' all sounds very serious indeed .......but then you read that a combined fine of £1,100 was issued ?

Me and my wife pay more for our car insurance policies........

Read about these idiots in the local paper (Oban Times) when they got nicked. Should have shoved their long lenses where the sun don't shine!

Two London photographers, who sound like they could be working for the KGB.
