This photo was taken along the scenic McKenzie River here in Oregon in 2011. I used a long lens to isolate this tree hanging over a swift spot in the river. The McKenzie is famous for crystal clear water that is an unmistakable blue. Thanks for taking a look!

Gorgeous image, Ned. Love the layers from blue to green, as well as the sharp textures of the tree contrasted by the blur of the rapids.

I too love this one Ned, wonderful crisp colors and detail in the tree and in contrast that great water. Well taken!
So glad you put this one up. It is a fine example of this type of scene, well seen and beautifully captured and processed. The vertical tree so finely detailed contrast so well with the horizontal water flow in it's soft blur. In the water, the blur does not diminish the color and still gives a good indication of speed and quantity of flow. Thanks Ned.

Yes, those of us who attended the print exchange gathering in Chehalis got a nice preview of this image as a print on metallic paper that was just stunning. All the prints were gorgeous and met rave reviews. Sure was fun to see everyone, visit over good food and impress ourselves with some fantastic photography!
