One of my few flight shots. I can count them on one hand I reckon.
D7000 Sigma 100-300mm

Looks like the forum has slid back to its old ways again after the initial surge at the change over.:frown:

nicely captured John, it shows off the impressive wings very well.

Big bird, big pool

Great depth of focus and framed just how I like them with plenty of room to fly into :toast:

Other forums are slow too I notice ;) must be the Christmas rush.

Great in flight John, I am still tempted by that lens but not sure I can trust Sigma again.

Great flight shot, with just the right detail in the background. As for the drop in comments, I put it down to the time of year as well. Who will go out taking photos when they could be Christmas shopping?

A cracking shot of one of my favourite subjects. Funnily I was going to post one very similar to this at almost the same time. As yours is better I'd better not bother now. :frown:

3D is taking up all my time as far as imaging is concerned and much more time on my ARMini solid state RISC OS computer and can't wait for the RISC OS version of the Raspberry Pi (£25, yes ££25) computer. so visiting here much less often. Having problems with my PC it refuses to recognise my SD cards for some reason. I hope your 3D lecture went well. Your 2D images are way up there with the best of them. Long may it continue (so it will give me a better chance in the Extra Dimension   )
