Can anyone give me a rule of thumb guideline to follow when posting from Lightroom 3 - It seems I use a lot of trial and error in getting the right size when I try to post Both for regular size and larger photos
Thanks for your help

I use the export function in the Library module. I set the options to process my "developed" images ( usually Tiff files ) to save as Jpeg and match the posting guidelines. I have LR rename the file to include the word "post" at the end of the file name. Of course this has to be done from the original separately for large and small posting sizes. I have LR save the images in the same folder and add them to the catalogue.

Hi Paul
In Lightroom 3 when you export a file, there is a "resize" box over on the right that allows you to limit the file size. For the regular version for uploading to NPN, the file size limit is around the 200 mark and the larger version should be set to 500. I can walk you through it if you want to contact me off list. Good luck
