That's an incredible bargin. Back in Jan 2011, I picked up this camera and in retrospect, that was a monumental step out side of my Nikon world that finally let me have the confidence to move forward with my photography.

Kane, I've always really enjoyed and respected your photography. Your statement really pique's my curiosity. I'm always interested in moving forward. (Promise, no religious wars intended) Would you mind explaining?

Russ, I got tired of waiting for Nikon to at some point migrate from the 12megapixel pro line. At the time, and likely going forward in my photography career I wanted to print big, 20x30 was not doin it for me. I also think Canons tilt shift lenses are incredible. I still think overall Nikon makes better glass but they don't have anything like Canons 24mm, 17mm, 45mm, 90mm tilt shifts. But the number one reason I love the 5D II is in my opinion the colors produced from that sensor are just stunning. Even today I rumage through shots from my D700, and I just can't reproduce most of my Raw files to appear as colorful as a Canon Raw file. Most people don't notice a difference between the images produced by the two cameras, so maybe I'm crazy. Nikons native image quality just seems too cool for Landscape, perfect for indoor shoting but a bit cool for my taste. Btw, I could also rattle off 20 reasons to shoot Nikon rather than Canon. I just prefer it for Landscape.

Great price for a great camera. Looks like Canon might be trying to reduce some inventory to get ready for the upcoming Mark III. 2012 could be very interesting if Canon releases the 5D update and Nikon releases the D800. Exciting times.
