We are pleased to introduce two new NPN forums;
The Site Tips forum is intended for the asking of questions and posting of tips on using the NPN website and making use of NPN membership benefits.
The Personal Safety forum is intended for the discussion of personal safety in the field and in society in general. Since personal safety is largely a preventative process - things we do that minimize our chances of becoming victims - the discussion of lethal force and use of weapons is not in the scope of this new special interest forum.
Both of these new forums can be found in the Forums menu in the Members Only section. We hope you find them useful!
As a career professional safety wonk, the Personal Safety forum warms the cockles of my heart Jim. And I think the design limits you specify should go far to keep it from degenerating into the usual morass. Thanks for both!
As a long-time fire fighter, back country climbing bumb, and EMT, I have seen a lot of bad things happen that could have been prevented through education. The new forum will hopefully see a wealth of excellent and accurate information that may prevent serious injury, or worse.
