Hi,

Not sure how well this will display, my main computer has been taken over so processed and posted from my laptop.

Spent an enjoyable morning with some swallows, shot 2 1/2 gigs, managed 7 or 8 that I was happy with  trouble is I know most of it was my poor technique etc, with a fully extended tripod and standing on a box on tiptoes.....

Could have opened up a bit here but just prior to this action I was trying to get two birds in focus.

All the best

Hi Phil,

This is a very good effort. The Swallow and perch are fantastic, the only thing I'm not sure about is the banding in the BG, is this due to compression or was it something in the BG??

Regards

Rob

Hi Rob....

Yes forgot to mention I was having problems getting a decent bg as well, its actually a tiled roof of a nearby barn....

All the best

Hi Phil,

The action/wing spread works for me.
I also like the movement in the wings and you've caught a good head position showing a nice bright catchlight in the eye. :toast:

Very nice with the wing movement giving the shot some dynamism?? :toast:

Hi Phil

I like everything about this image including the BG - the blurred wings, sharp head & body and that perch are all a bit special!

A good solid image Phil. Bg is kinda distracting but the subject is sharp where it needs to be and nicely exposed. A bird that I've started playing with, loads of blank frames and clipped birds so far :(

Very nice image Phil, but i also find the background a bit "busy" for my taste!

Hi Phil,

It works well for me! :toast:

I think the bg works, it adds to the feeling of motion, wind, which the bird is fighting against.

Hello Phil
Nice to be able to enjoy with some Swallows. Havn't seen too many so far.
Nice cation type image, but I do find BG only slightly distracting.
