Hi...I have PSE 7 for my PC and I'm thinking of buying a Mac. I know that Apple can do "parallels" on the Mac so I can just download all my old software from my PC. However, I'm thinking about upgrading to PSE 10 (I like PSE software and no use for CS 5) for the Mac. My question is...how hard is it to use PSE on Mac if I'm used to Windows? Is it very different? I have several other plug ins and not sure they are all compatible with Mac but for now, I'm just curious about PSE on the Mac.
Thanks for any input on this matter. Happy New Year!

Not much difference between PSCS5 on Mac and PC (I use both) so I would assume the PSE would be the same.

For about the last year, I have been using Elements on a Mac and CS5 on a PC (long story). The hardest thing I found was the difference between the two pieces of software rather than the PC vs Mac thing. That doesn't really answer your question but in short, I wouldn't worry about the change.
If memory serves me, and sometimes it doesn't; if you switch platforms, you have to purchase a new license. So, it makes sense to buy Elements 10 and install it on the Mac, leaving your software intact on the PC, just in case some of the older plugins don't work on the Mac.
Another change will be your keyboard shortcuts, if you use them. Be sure to check these in the 'Preferences' in Elements. If you have any custom shortcuts, you'll need to redefine them in the new software.

I just bought the Premiere editions w/ PSE10 and they gave me a disk for both Windows & Mac in the kit. Don't know how PSE works with a Mac though.
The Ap Store sells Elements 10 without the organizer if you are going to use IPhoto or Aperture you don't need the organizer. It works great and sells for $79.
