Hey everyone! I hope you all had a great Christmas. We went down to AZ to visit my folks but the camera never left my bag.

Anyway, I just sorted through my Rocky images for this last year and chose 11 to represent my work in 2011. These photos are my favorites even though I might put together a different list if I was putting forth my highest quality or most popular images. Regardless, I thought I'd share them here and get your input. I also put together a collection of my favorites from other places which I'll probably post tomorrow or Monday. Let me know what you think either positive or negative. Don't worry, I have very thick skin.

Erik, these are just truly inspiring and I looked through them again and again. This is especially true with the star images. I love the expression of shape and form that photography provides and none does it better than the lenticular cloud image...my favorite.

I was gonna post it here so no one missed it, but didn't want to step on your toes. Some crazy/fine work there, my friend!

Great stuff. I saw your prints at DuraPlaq. Would you like to exhibit these at Wright Kingdom in Boulder some time?

Nothing negative to say at all about any of these images Erik. Looks like you had a great year. I really love that cloudy Notchtop image! I also love the Spraque Lake photo. I remember thinking the sunrise was going to be awesome that morning but wasn't able to get up to the park due to a previous commitment. Glad you were able to take advantage of those conditions!

Your work is such an inspiration to me, Erik!
Out of this bunch, the Notchtop image is my favorite, with the Lenticular over Long's shot being a close second.
I can't wait to see your best of 2012

I'm new to RMNP and have been looking through the postings and came across your collection for 2011. I love your work and this collection is beautiful! I love your first shot! Getting up when you're exhausted does have its rewards. Is that Lily lake?
I think your Sprague lake photo and the lenticular cloud over Longs are outstanding!
I really like your ice abstract. I noticed something very beautiful about it and I was wondering if you have tried to turn it vertically with the light blue ice on the bottom, then try to crop and straighten it a bit. The fissure in the ice looks like a tree to me and all the bubbles like snow falling. The white stripe looks like a layer of fallen snow. Some people have said I have an over active imagination cause I tend to see things that other people don't....I'm glad they haven't locked me up yet!
I really look forward to more of your postings and I'm very excited to join such an outstanding group of photographers! Blessings Deb Yarra

The light under the shrouding clouds of Notchtop is insane. I also like the ice abstract, the curving lenticular, and Chasm Lake sunrise.
You had a great year and best to you in 2012.

Amazing collection, Erik! I keep coming back to look at these over and over. My faves are Chasm Lake and that incredible sunrise over Sprague Lake! WOW!!
