Longmire in BW.......almost.
The sad and tragic news from MRNP got me recalling the day trip I took up to Longmire last weekend.
I've been testing the water regarding BW images recently. They seem to look best with just a hint of color or tint left in them, at least IMO. The sky offered no help on this shot and I waited for a time hoping the clouds would open to reveal some of the mountain; No such luck. Any advice for this image or BW capture and processing in general is appreciated. Larger version included. Thanks for looking.

Bruce,

You might be able to double process your raw file and then blend together in PS. Or do you have a better exposure for the sky and then again blend the two together in PS. In regards to advice on B&W processing you might wish to check out some of the E-books here: http://www.craftandvision.com .

I agree, a hint of color helps BW. Unfortunately, that's about all the advice I can give. One of these days I need to really bear down and learn BW.
