Whooper Swan

I paid a visit to WWT Martin Mere last week while I was up in Yorkshire and spent most of the time in the Swan Link hide. I was amazed at the number of birds so close to the hide! The next few images will be from here, and the first is a portrait of one of the many Whooper Swans there.

Nice one Oscar. Blue, white and yellow go so well together. If you have more space, I'd add a bit to the left to reconnect the neck and body.

I agree with Ian, the colours work well, but a little more on the left (if you have it) would be great - but everything on the right is needed as well, so if this is full frame you chose well.

the colours are great Oscar and I really like the blue ripples in the background. I think the composition works fairly well, though I wonder if a lower viewpoint would have helped (but probably wasn't possible).

Hi Oscar i see what is said about the neck and the body connection but that apart it's a very good image.

Looks Ok to me Oscar. Strangely - to me the body /head gap seems to give it something . Maybe a tad usm on the cheek area might help.
Just my opinion from where I,m sitting.
