D300 105mm f2.8 1/5s at f20 ISO 100 tripod cable release

Very early in morning. The heavy dew has started to burn off now the sun has hit the dragonfly but finally its wings opened out fully!Taken a couple of years ago whilst on holiday in Lancashire (do not get these beauties in Scotland). All C+C warmly welcomed and many thanks for all your previous comments.

Nick. :wavey:

A beauty Nick. I'd be tempted to rotate it CW slightly so that the body was vertical - but that may be just me.

Superb detail and a great background. Funnily enough, I was going to suggest rotating it a bit more so it was more diagonal!

Fine as it is for me.  Excellent detail.

HI Nick :wavey:

Excellent shot with loads of detail in the wings :toast:

First one was good enough not everything has to be at right angles

Both work well for me. Great details in the thorax and the dew on the wings.

Looks very good to me, I just love the cobweb..... original comp is fine the slightly rotated version is better as the perch is then at an angle and not bisecting the image...
