Storm Surge
Hi everyone, thanks for the comments on my last upload, much appreciated!! I have tried to include them in this image. Same place, just a little bonus of some 'golden light' appearing from the right. I've 'slightly' cropped to a Pano, which I think works, and used a little Dodge and Burn, along with a slight levels adjustment, for contrast. All C&C's most welcome.
Regards,
Paul Rosser. :wavey:

Ps. If the weather, Tides and Light are right, Porthcawl is an excellent venue in storm conditions!

Looks good to me Paul.

Viewing on a tablet at the moment will have another look on home PC later.

Hi Paul

it looks even better on the proper calibrated screen :toast:

Yes the lighting enhances this image for me. Very nice indeed.

I'm no landscaper Paul, but this looks technically excellent. I like the drama on the left and the subtle colours. I wish there was something on the right side as it feels a wee bit unbalanced maybe.

Superb dramatic photo Paul, bravo! :toast: Porthcawl is excellent for spotting the elusive Elvis too!

Great power in his shot.
Maybe a little more "guts "- levels ? As mentioned , the right seems a little extra to the main impact of the shot.
Good stuff though.
Cheers

Excellent and I certainly prefer this to the previous shot. The light on the right picking out the base of the lighthouse does it for me.Just needs a gull in the right side now

work better the warmth on the RHS against the cold on the LHS works well.

Hi Paul, love the action and power on the left but like some others find the rhs lacking in impact. That said it does not detract much from what is a good capture.

Its coming along nicely... The mood is better with a bit of burning. Be careful you don't overdo it. I agree with the comments referencing the balance from the LHS to the RHS, but can see why you've done it this way.

I'd be interested to see another viewpoint with the lighthouse dominating the middle right (if it is possible).

I much prefer the lighting on this one Paul but in my opinion the timing of the capture and the positioning of the lighthouse was stronger on your first post.
