A baker's dozen of favorites plus some
After Bret linked the fine collections of yearly bests, I spent part of the last weekend putting together what images were my favorites from 2011. In retrospect, seems I spent a lot of time around Sedona and the Grand Canyon last year, so I hope to focus more on the deserts and southern Utah this year. Hope you enjoy.

Favorites of 2011

What a beautiful collection Doug. Reflection pool and indian point are my favorites in that collection. I hope I can do some work up on the north rim this year during the summer and fall.

Great set Doug! I think Wotan's Throne, Totem Bow and the one above are my favorites.

Doug,

That's a very nice set. Having lived a couple years near Sedona, I can attest that it's not as easy at it might seem to get shots like "Reflection Pool". That said, the monsoon light in the Grand Canyon stands out with "Imperial View" and "Wotan's Throne". At the end of the day, though, because it combines a beautiful image with personal nostalgia, "Cathedral Reflection" has to be a favorite. I think I know right where that was taken, as one of my favorite trail runs crossed that ledge. Thanks for the memory.

Really wonderful collection, Doug. I'm partial to Indian Point but I'd be hard pressed to pick a true favorite. Thanks for sharing.

You may have a lot of shots of Sedona and Grand Canyon, but you sure represented them spectacularly! I love the Imperial View shot. My other favorite is the Monument Valley rainbow. Sweet. Thanks for posting the link to these here. Have an awesome New Year Doug!

Thanks all for looking and commenting. It is always interesting to read what images others favor, as viewers may not have an attachment to the area that the taker may have from the moment.
Mark, you probably did run across that ridge above the ranch.
