Aerial Eye Candy
I'm finally back home in Colorado after 15 weeks in South America! My last flight from Denver to Montrose yesterday was awesome, with the fresh snow, misty clouds, and post-sunset light.

This one here is Elk Mountains. I've posted a bunch more, including a nice one of Mt. Evans here: http://www.mountainphotographer.com/flight-over-the-rockies/

Oh, and see the large version too... How many 14ers can you pick out in there? :wavey:

Awesome stuff! Finding Maroon Bells is the Rosetta Stone of finding all the other fourteeners, like Pyramid in front of them. Looks like Snowmass has a good start to its namesake snow field, and Capitol, summit just barely hiding in the mist, is prominent, too. Then you've got Sopris standing all proud and alone at upper right. The only one I can't make out is Castle. Is it in the shot?

What did you take those with, Jack? You must've used something with excellent noise-taming ability.

Never mind. Castle's hiding in plain sight. Had to find Cathedral first.

Nice job, Todd! :toast: I used my trusty Panasonic GF1, with 20mm lens @ f/1.8, ISO 400. There is noise. But not so much that it can't be dealt with with Noise Ninja or whatnot.

Awesome view Jack - but a major bummer to see the lack of snow in the high country... :frown:
