Have you seen any raptor pictures lately?!
Just thought I'd say thank you so much for the food for my soul! Getting to spend a beautiful morning outdoors taking pictures of magnificent raptors with a great bunch of people is my kind of church. Thank you Jack and Ann for arranging this wonderful event! I can't believe what great portraits we were able to get of these amazing birds! Here's one full frame shot....no cropping yipee!:jump:

Very nice composition, Debbie. I like the head against the dark wing.

Ditto what Bill said, Debbie. I really like the out of focus wing as a background. It almost gives the impression of the bird being in flight.

Very nice! Id tone down the highlite/beak just a bit and call it a winner.

Nice work Debbie, using the dark underwing to highlight the head and beak really worked here!

Great comp Deb!

Thank you all for your comments, I so appreciate it! I was trying for the "flight-look" cause I'm not good enough to get the bird in "real flight". @ Stan..I'll see what I can do about toning down the beak, thanks for your comments.

Great close-up comp! Maybe bring down the highlights a smidge.

So here it is with the highlights fixed. Better?
