Once in a life time
You just get one of those images that you know you will never get again I think this is one.

Taken today at leighton moss I did get a few of them and some FF images of the bittern flying.

Wow what a shot! Pardon my ignorance but what is the left hand bird....is it a Marsh Harrier?

Hello Phil
I've been away for a while whilst my daughter Rachel gave birth to our first grandchild - hence I didn't get time to call round, sorry.
Anyway, what an image to return to - as you said, a once in a lifetime shot that you certainly deserve.
Best wishes

Cracking shot Phil. Bitterns are one of my favourite birds. I've been hoping for some shots this year at the London Wetland Centre of them but due to the warm weather they are just not coming close enough to any of the hides, and are staying hidden in the reedbeds. This time last year there were 7!
