Mt Hood Sunset from Goldendale
I caught this sight travelling back from Eastern Washington between Bickerton & Goldendale, WA on Jan 3rd. Pretty amazing siight as the sun dropped behind Mt Hood and projected the shadow across the sky. After some frantic driving around I was able to find this aspect before the light show faded away.

This size jpg doesn't really do this justice. Btw, I posted a larger version when I uploaded but I didn't see any link to it - what did I do wrong?

Pretty evening scene. Maybe even think of cropping the top to the end of the shadow. Couldnt tell you what you did wrong with the bigger shot though. :( :)

Graham,

Wonderful image.... but a harbinger of the bad weather coming.....I bet the print must look fantastic!

Oh, what a sky! and the shadow of the mountain adds some distinction. Good scrambling to get the view; it's one of my favorite aspects of photography!

I'm not sure why the larger version didn't show. I do know it will fail if the file is over 500kb, but otherwise it should be there.

Love that sky. Amazing!
