Took a run up the river today. Started at L&D 14 there was not much happening, a few around but not much action. Dropped down to L&D15 again not much action few in the trees South of dam but not in air, so back up to 14. still not much going on. Moved on down to L&D 16 at Muscatine, IA were several there but the access to the Lock viewing area is closed till March. Went to L&D 17 at New Boston, IL there are some there but no access there at any time. Ccmr on home and stopped back by L&D 18, There were plenty of eagles there. It was getting late and the light was about gone, took a couple there. this first one is from the boat ramp looking back to the dam. I will post #2 it is one of the trees north of the access road. The count on the 18th was 169 adults and 17 juv. looks like most are still there. Sorry for the quality of the pictures the light at 3:44pm was just not there, (only had a peek at the sun all day).

I can't even begin to imagine seeing over 100 Eagles in one place...what a treat that must be! The most I've ever seen at one time is 5. Thanks for sharing, Kendall.
