this Ladybird looks like it's been having fun  It's covered in pollen, having emerged from the depths of a daffodil.

It's one from last spring that I didn't pay too much attention to at the time. I quite like the image I think but would very much appreciate honest opinions.

Canon 5D with MP-E 65mm macro lens and diffused flashgun (can't remember which one), using a mixture of flash and natural light. F14, 1/200, ISO 400.

I like this very much. Simple lines, simple colours make for a very strong image graphically. With the ladybird covered in pollen, it's a picture that tells a story - alway a good recipe! If anything, I might have preferred the ladybird slightly higher in the frame.

Lovely MP shot. It's a difficult lens with it's shallow DoF.

Love the colours and of course the yellow dust is 'the pollen on the cake'
