Question about Elements 10

To process my images I currently use DPP and CS2, after converting the RAW in DPP I then adjust the Levels, Shadow & Highlight, Contrast, Saturation, Noise and Sharpen if needed in CS2.

So I was wondering if Elements 10 will do all of the above any better than CS2 which is a bit long in the tooth now and more to the point does Elements have any useful tools that CS2 doesn't ( things like Content Aware Fill / Scaling )?

Cheers in advance

Hi Andy,

When I did the platform change I went the Elements 10 route... it is a very capable editor and probably all a large number of photographers would need... certain things are in a different place (not sure why)...

Adjustment layers are there, Shadow/Highlight is there (IMO better implemented than in CS2/3), and of course content aware fill and scaling.

The only downside is limited 16bit support, but if you are used to CS2 I think it may be similar... Most of my work is done in Lightroom at full 16bit and really only goes into elements if I need to do something that lightroom can't or to prepare an image for presentation on the web or slideshow for talks...

Best is to download the trial...

Thanks for that, Phil. I'll give the trial version a go.
