I have a high tide roost of sanderling in the next town along the coast from us. I visited today and found about 30 present. Getting one out on its own was a problem, but eventually this one obliged.
Nice one... with a good viewpoint... is it a tiny amount off on the colour balance? I can't make my mind up... nice soft lighting that works well for this species....

Very smart David. Maybe just a bit of the bottom could work
I was in agreement with Phil H regarding the colour balance when I first opened this one but on viewing the large version I'm not so sure. I think the reflection of the pale looking sky on the sand is confusing the issue on the smaller image. Can be altered to suit I suppose and it's a lovely image anyway

Hi David
Regarding the colour it does read high in blue on the whites on my test gear but I assume its the sky reflection. Its only a tiny amount if anything.I,m colour blind any way on Red/Green so there you go !!

Thanks for all the comments folks. I have applied some colour correction, and this is the result. Although I think it better, the first posting is closer to how I actually remember it.
Thanks to everyone for their advice.

The large version looks spot on to me, but the repost looks a bit off colour wise (but then look what happened to my post!)
