Has anyone tried this? I'd like something that helps to protect my brand-new 5d MkII, but I'm hesitant. I've never used anything like this. I've been usintg the 1Ds MkII and it's so doggone tough that I never worried about it (it survived landing on a concrete floor).
Has anyone tried this stuff, or anything like it? Sometimes I carry my camera around my neck as I crawl through trees and brush, and do worry about how tough or not the 5d ii is.

I know nothing about Camera Armour, but I've been using an OpTech DSLR Zoom neoprene soft pouch for years now, incl. with my 5DII. This case has saved my camera from short drops, sandstone abrasion and rain on so many occasions that it has paid for itself in spades.
It uses a rubber 'O' ring to attach to your camera's lens and two snaps open and close it (examples at that site). If you don't like it dangling from the lens when you shoot, simply undo a snap near the 'O' ring and you're free. I can't recommend this pouch highly enough for the protection it offers.
I use the Camera Armor for my 5D Mark ii. It makes it a bit bulkier than normal and the rubber can stick a little to the camera bag making it a little harder to get it out, but it has kept my camera looking almost like new underneath. I usually take the armor off every six months or so, or whenever I come back from the ocean or desert and put it through the dishwasher to give it a good cleaning. For the $35 it cost me, I think it has been well worth it. I'm not sure how much it would protect the camera from a big fall but for all the abuse I give it as a nature photographer it has handled it well.
Thanks for the info, guys. I'm surprised more people don't use these; I've been thinking about it for a couple years and just never got around to it, but that 5dii is just crying out for something! I see Delkin has a cover, too. I'm going to get something, just not sure yet which one.....
