Thanks Keith. Not too cold as there was no wind but I did loose a welly in a bog on the way to the river.

Gorgeous landscape with wonderful tones. Not quite sure what to think about the large rock in the FG.

Hi Nick
Looked at this a time or two, and I don't get the chance to see "landscapey " areas much so am not one to judge really.
However I do feel the the rock and the mountain seem to be too much in lne with each other.Maybe the big rock either left or right a bit may have helped. The mist makes it though.
Cheers

Thanks Jeroen & John.....see what you mean about the big rock in the foreground. This is taken while there was still quite a lot of mist but you can see enough of the mountain and I have cropped it so that the large rock is now off centre. I think it looks better like this and your eye is the taken to the curve in the river. Many thanks for you comments.

The comp is looking good, but the rock should ahve been off centre. perhaps a little more than the repost but it is an improvement. all in nice shot and i am jealous of you having that on your door step look foward to seeing more :toast: :toast:

Its a shame that big rock in the FG is there in the image.IMO its not needed, cuz the water is leading you to the BG.

Anyway your 2nd post is getting there :toast:

I prefer the second composition Nick but for some reason it doesn't look as saturated as the first.
