This one's just for fun. I was looking out our home office window Friday morning and noticed that one of the neighbor's trees looked like a bite had been taken out of it in the ice storm just past. My wife interpreted it just the opposite. After looking at it a while We decided it closely resembled a popular holiday cartoon character. It was a foggy, frosty morning and I upped the contrast quite a bit to bring out the tree texture. Not sure it was the right thing, since it also brings some structures in the bg out of the fog.

Dennis... be careful with fences... sometimes in images.. they do what they are intended to do in real life.... they keep you from the rest of the image.
Without the fence, perhaps converted to B & W this is a strong image, but the fence is just not working for me here. Fences can really be a pain in the ass!

I'm seeing it both ways; I like the holiday character comparison. Jack's got a point as far as an attractive photo, so maybe head the other direction and add a balloon with the tree making a wisecrack of some sort?
