I couldn't resist checking out the ice "castles" in Silverthorne. I found a spot I liked and worked it for a while. I'd like to think this portion of ice looks a bit like an eagle with wings spread. I've posted two versions. Do you like one over the other -- or either one at all?
thanks!
I like #2 better because there is more structure in the upper right quadrant. The blue sky on the left side creates more of a diagonal with the sky in the center.

Neat! #1 looks more like an eagle--so that's my pick.

Corinna hit it for me. Very cool!

#2 is my favorite, I like the slightly closer zoom. Very nicely captured and aptly named! I can see an eagle in both of them.

A very interesting and creative composition! I also prefer #2 for the detail present in the upper right and the way the blue sky is presented in the upper left corner.

#1 as the icicle points show completely in the lrc, but #2 for the URC detail and the whites near the opening are not so bright. Overall, #2.
