I don't usually use the RMNP forum for shameless self-promotion but I'm making an exception this time because, well, I just am.

On March 3, 2012 I'll open the doors for the first time to The Edge Gallery at 137 N. Main St. in Moab, Utah. What is The Edge Gallery? It's my new gallery, where you'll find my fine art prints, canvas wraps, greeting cards, calendars and other cool stuff. It's also where I'll conduct free monthly mini-workshops and slideshows conducted by some of my favorite outdoor photographers.

If those who plan to attend the RMNP Spring Fling are interested I'll be happy to open the gallery in the evening for a shindig/ho-down/party.

If you find yourself in Moab after March 3 I hope you'll stop in and say "hi". Melissa is assuming the role of gallery manager and will be the glue holding it all together. I'll work the gallery as time and schedules permit.

There's a bit more information and a photo of the outside of the gallery on my blog, if you'd like to check it out.

MODS: Feel free to delete if I'm a bad boy for posting this.

Keeping my calendar open before Memorial Day for the Spring Fling and a chance for a peek at what will surely be Moab's finest gallery.

Congrats, Bret! I'll stop in when I'm there next.

Coincidentally, I was on the verge of opening a gallery around the corner from you but the deal fell through.

With neighbors like that, you should have great success.
So...what does it take to wrangle an invite to your Grand Opening?

Bret,

As far as I am concerned any photographer that has the opportunity to launch a gallery is not only news worthy but an inspiration to photographers everywhere. I hope you have a wonderful time and great success!

PS. Make sure you leave time for the fun stuff ...like shooting:)

I sincerely appreciate all the kind comments and well wishes. Y'all sure know how to make a guy feel like he made the right decision!

Re: the Love Muffin - Yeah, I'm pretty stoked to be next door to them. The foot traffic that will generate played a big part in my decision to lease the space (among other things). Also, we're friends w/ the owners and we eat there quite a bit, so it'll be nice to be right next door.

Robert P: Thanks for the support. Something I noticed a while ago about the "other" photography gallery in town is that the inventory doesn't change. If you've been there once, you don't need to go back. I plan to keep making new images and introducing the best of the best in the gallery on a regular basis.

Bill P: Art and Peter who? :jump: I've had my last name for a lot longer than they've had their shows so I'm not too worried about it!

John M: Consider this an open invite to ALL my RMNP friends. I would LOVE to see a bunch of you at the opening. Free wine, beer and snacks! Hey, I'm not above bribery.

Phil N: Ha! I could easily see that printed on one of the Love Muff t-shirts or hats.
