Antelope Island
Spent this morning out at Antelopt Island State Park in Utah and was hoping for some wildlife opps, but didn't really materialize, I guess I should have notified the wildlife I was on the way. Thanks for looking and C&C if you want.

#1 Predawn Tranquility - There was one little ice free patch of water which reflected the sky quite nicely.

I have had an image of a perched raptor with a mountain backdrop in my skull for a while now and just haven't had it happen to my satisfaction yet. I've only had a few opportunities and I don't think this one is too bad.

This is the last one. I got this two days ago about fifteen minutes from home as I was coming home after an unproductive though peaceful morning photo session.

no mas.

Nice set of images, I am really drawn to #2 -- what an awesome scene! Usually having the mountain centered would be less than ideal, but in this case I think it works really well.

Nice stuff! 2 and 3 are awesome! I really like the mellow color palette and floating mountain effect in 2, and I like the cold severity in 3, looks almost Central Asian.

This is an incredibly good set of images, Jeff! I like each and every one of them for different reasons. #2 is especially fine, with the fine desert foliage in the foreground and the slightly hidden mountains in the back. #4 is a winner..you got your wish in spades, I'd reckon. Not a bad day at all for a lack of wildlife sightings!

Great work here, Jeff, especially 2, 3, and 4. I think #2 is truly fabulous. It has the look and feel of a landscape painting. Nice work all around.

The second shot is perfect in every way! :toast:

Jeff beautiful images! They are all good, but # 2 is absolutely perfect! It speaks to me.... very peaceful. Love the cool and warm colors together. Great comp and the clouds are awesome! Really like #1, also, simple, beautiful color and nice comp, Like your eagle on the post. Composition's great and I love how you have his white head against the dark part of the mountain, it really stands out. Where is your mountain/raptor picture taken? Very beautiful pic reminds me of Alaska. Great collection! :toast:
I will be in Farmington Bay on February 13-17th and you have already given me some nice places to visit. I would love some info about Antelope island and Whiterock Bay and where the mountain/raptor picture is taken... love that mountain! Please E-mail me when you have time. I love that you've got so much beautiful snow there. We haven't gotten much here in Colorado. It's been a weird and very warm winter so far. Thanks again. Blessings, Deb

I really like the colors, details and textures in #2. I disagree with the others about the centered mountain, and the right 20% of the frame isn't doing anything for me.

Jeff, 2&3 are my choices. The rusts and light blues in 2 work well together. Image #3 would make a really nice B&W.

An excellent series. I'm with the rest of the gang on #2 being the cream in this group. Such great light! And I like the tele-extraction of #3.

Love number 2. Such a soft, painterly quality to it.

Well, put me down in the #2 as best-of-the bunch, but none are slouches. The foreground detail in #2 and the mountain (no problem with it being centered) just "floating" make it for me. Beautiful set.

If I hadn't read where these were taken, I would have thought you were in Iceland or New Zealand! Numbers 1, 2, and 3 got audible "Oh Wows" from me! :toast:

Photos 2 and 3 really "do it" for me! Just awesome! :toast:

I really like everything about #2 - prefectly composed with wonderful FG texture and color! #1 has great potential, but just doesn't need the FG stuff.

Wow, wow, and WOW!! I think if you posted #2 especially in the landscape, gallery, it would be a top contender for pic of the week. :toast:

Like almost everyone else, #2 is unbelievably good! Outstanding work!
