Gull from below ID request

Gull from below ID request
Shot this over the summer (August) in Dayton, Ohio. I'm guessing it is in its first summer but my knowledge of gulls pretty much ends with "Hey, that's a gull".

Any help with id appreciated.

Not a lot of visual cues there, Dan, but I'll guess sub-adult Ring-billed Gull. If I'm right, it's probably not a hatch year, but I'd need to see the back and tops of the primaries to say for sure.

Some years ago, there was a guy who posted impossibly difficult shots of gulls and challenged gull fans like me to ID them. Your photo reminds me of that guy's quiz shots...
