Last month's theme "New Mexico" had more than eighty beautiful submissions paying tribute to the Land of Enchantment's centennial this year. Thanks to all of you who posted photos!
Because we had so many great submissions to choose from, this month's Home page cover image consists of a collage of four photos depicting a sample of the special landscapes, wildlife and cultural sites New Mexico has to offer. The choices are: Carlsbad Caverns Chandelier by Phillip Noll, San Francisco de Asis Details by Bill Bean, Rio Puerco Valley Moonrise by Jackson Frishman and Bosque del Apache Cranes by Bill Pelzmann.
Please join the mods in congratulating Phillip, Bill B., Jackson and Bill P. for their wonderful work. Also, remember to submit your photos for February's theme: "Arizona!"

First, congrats to the four of you..these are awesome images! And thanks to EVERYONE who participated. I was given a great education on the photo opportunities that NM offers. My wife and I were going to go in February but decided to wait until April when things warm up a bit.
The record was 84 submissions in January...anyone up for trying to beat that??

Arizona!?!?! I got nothin'
Don't envy your having to narrow that lot down, but you did a brilliant job and I love the collage...congrats Bill P, Jackson, Bill B and Phil!
Great shots, Bill, Bill and Phil! And thanks to everyone for a great month of shots! I'm afraid i don't have as much material for Arizona, but I can come up with a couple, and I can't wait to see what everyone's got.

BTW, that Chandelier photo was shot on this stuff they used to have back in the day called FILM! I used a Canon 10D as a light meter, did some calculations in my head and then set up my Mamiya medium format and shot away. I shot probably 4 rolls of Velvia down there and when I got back up top in the daylight I could only find 3 rolls! Lost one somewhere in the cave! D'oh!.

I know, and I love those Arizona skies.

Man, what esteemed company to be in. Thanks for the pick and the kind words. Time to pack up and head for AZ. Great gallery going on over there. Can we torment the Mods enough by hitting 100 images?

I'm sure picking four from that batch didn't make it much easier for the moderators. Thanks!

And you guys are efficient. I came home on the 1st, looking forward to scrolling slowly once again to enjoy all the entries - but the winners were already up and the January theme was already gone. Guess I better get on the ball!
I'll echo what everyone else has said - outstanding quality, and it wasn't diluted by the number of entries.
