Ring flash for a Canon

I am looking to upgrade my ringflash for my Canon, I have had a sigma ring flash for about 5 years now but it is getting long in the tooth with misfires and it's not quite as versatile as I would like. Does anyone have any suggestions either Canon made or 3rd party? I really wish they made a flash like the Nikon R1C1 system, not quite ready to change my entire system over for that :D

Thank you in advance.

Better than a ring-flash, imo - really excellent for macro work:
Canon MT 24EX Twin Flash

Hey Hali,
Sandy beat me to it.....but I love the MT 24 EX. I use it for all my macro stuff and although it is wired and a bit heavy (4AA batteries) it is awesome! It works exactly like the 580EX when it comes to powering up or down so the controls will be familiar to you and just remeber to position the two lights at your subject! A quick learning curve but you will love it. You can also make a home made diffuser for it if you feel it is too strong.....but I use it as is out of the box. Best investment in flash I have ever made!

Thank you Roman! I think it's time I take the plunge for it.

Another vote for the MT 24 - if you are familar with a standard 2 strobe studio portrait, the movable flash heads will allow you to duplicate that lighting for 1/3" insects. Now if you can only get them to stand still long enough...
