Sunset @ 35,000 Feet
A few months ago I was flying from LA to Denver. I brought my camera because I always like taking aerial shots. I was a bit disappointed in the cloud cover for most of the trip but right at sunset the clouds broke a little and I got a few interesting shots I thought I would share.

I think those are some of the most incredible cloudscapes I have ever seen, Scott! :toast:

Nice set, Scott. I especially like #3. It feels like a surge of light is advancing over the clouds.

Why do I have a sudden urge to go to a carnival and buy cotton candy?

Incredible shots, Scott! That #3 is especially fine.

WOW! 2 and 3 are mind blowing!

Nicely done! #3 is my favorite, because of the different textures, and contrast in light/color. IMO, I'd maybe consider cropping out that lighter portion/sliver of orange clouds up on the very top of the frame? TFS!

Thank you everybody for your comments so far! Nathan, I think that is a good idea on the crop, thanks.

They're all cool, Scott, and #3 is art! It looks like a tsunami of glowing water drowning a forest of blue trees on some alien world.

Wow - these are great. I'm afraid I'm one of those people who never lowers the window shade to aid viewing of the movie - when there's stuff like this to see out, why would you?!

Awesome!!! Number 3 with the crop is the winner for me...although, they all are worthy and would work well together. :toast:
