Rain on Friday night, and cloudy on Saturday. What a great chance to get out and explore. This little jewel is near Nail. Tim Ernst included it in his second edition. I almost climbed up to what looked like a bear den on my way out. Seeing that much dirt disturbed at the bottom of a small bluff led me to make a detour!

Excellent catch, Jan. Exposure is spot on and the water looks great!

Great shot Jan. I like the multi-levels and then the s-curve of the water in the foreground.

There is nothing about this image that I don't love ... excellent!

Thank you for your kind comments. I have included another shot of the smaller falls just downstream. You can see another falls above to the right. This is a very special place, and fairly easy to access. The suspected bear den is camera left and near the top of the bluff line.

Jan that first one would make a great mono (maybe cropped in too). I like it.
I really like the second one. Colors are really nice and help make it really pop. Thumbs up!!

Hey Jan, I like both shots, but I prefer the second because it shows more of the environment around the falls. I like how you chose not to include the grey sky - it would have detracted from the colors in the water and leaves around the pool.
