Last week, we had a terrible lightening storm, so I unplugged all my devices. When I plugged back in, my Elements did not have the WIA scanning option. So, now my scanner only works to import scanned photos into word. I re-installed scanner software. No luck...now what? So I re-install PSE? Or is something else , that needs to be fixed?
thanks, Lucy
I re-installed PSE, too...but no luck. I am able to use the Epson Scan to scan a jpeg to "my pictures", so I can get photos off of my scanner.....but, it would be really nice to be able to scan directly fro PSE!!!
If I cannot get this straightened out, I'll risk"clicking the wrong button" , and use the HP rescue disk to repair windows. I hate to mess with that, because I might accidentally "wipe" my system by re-installing windows! If anyone can tell me how to fix (re-install WIA, without going into my repair disk, please tell me! And I have tried system restore, but I don't have a restore point with WIA on it.

If you can't find any other source to help you troubleshoot your problem (Epson tech support? Adobe?),
there's a workaround fix available here.
Also, consider finding and downloading the most recent version of your scanner driver from Epson's website.
