I thought long and hard before posting this. Is it proper to endorse and promote a tutorial that someone makes a profit on when there are so many "free" tutorials out there? We promote major stuff like Lightroom 4 and CS5 amongst ourselves as well as Ebooks from Guy and a few others so, after careful consideration, I decided to share this:
Zack Schenpf of the Photo Cascadia team has just produced a 3 hour and 40 minute video which is one the best best I've seen for post processing using Camera Raw and Photoshop layers, masks and freehand editing. It does require some basic understanding of layers but if I can learn it, I think anyone can! It is an extremely detailed video and he includes the images he used so you can follow along and duplicate the steps. The cost....only $39.99 which I feel is an incredible price for so much information. Zack is a member of NPN. You can see a see a small video demo of the tutorial here:
I am not being compensated to endorse this product but I feel it is one of the best I've seen for PP techniques anywhere. Check out the demo.

Y'know, I was wondering about this, so I really appreciate your thoughts and endorsement. To be sure, this is PS oriented and not LR, right?

Yes, John...he does the whole tutorial in CS5 but says you can do it with earlier versions too. It is not compatible for Photoshop Elements though.

Wow, thanks Jack! I can't tell you how much it means to me for you to post this here. I really appreciate the feedback and the endorsement. Thanks again!

I have no problem promoting something like this on the forum, when it's a financially disinterested party just giving a heads-up to the group. I saw this and thought about picking it up, it looks really excellent.

If you don't have a lot of time or money, you might try this free version of Zack's tutorial:
