Snowy Kestrel
From yesterdays excursion to the Fens. It was minus fourteen when I got there at dawn and not a barn owl in sight and no SEO's later in the day either:frown:

Fortunately I saw some nice Roe Deer in the snow and this very obliging young lady who seemed untroubled by my close attendance:wink:

MKIV 500f4 ISO 250 1/1600 f7.1 Tripod and mongoose head.

That is a beauty Bob. Quite unlike any Kestrel image I have ever seen. Great composition, pose and setting. Perhaps clone out the bracken on bottom edge but just a minor thing. Top shot. :toast:

A gorgeous wintery scene, with the bird positioned perfectly.

Do like that, refreshingly different and cold!
