I have many Red Kite images on file (as I expect do many if not most forum members) and an even bigger pile in the bin (and it is a big bin!). A work meeting in nearby Llandingdong Bells finished early and allowed a quick drive up the road to Gigrin for an hours practice at flight shots. As usual I came away with a mix of disasters, rubbish, near rubbish and a smattering of usable images. This was one of the few which was captured full frame without the need to crop and still produce a reasonable composition. Although it would seem that the shot everyone just has to get these days is the turn into the dive, quite frankly I'm happy if I can just get one of the booogers sharp I actually liked the pose on this one and looking back over my images I couldn't find any that appear just like this so I was happy.

Another superb image Robert and I love all flight shots and am very envious of them as most of mine (99.99%) end up being deleted! The light on the bird is stunning and the feather detail on the wing leading edges is stunning. Not too bad for a lunch time practice!
